Silly Sickness

The sickness bug has descended upon the Rosie clan - well - the youngest Rosies. Last night before bed, Austin had a little bit of a temperature so I gave him some Tylenol. When he woke up this morning, he was burning up! Definitely not feeling good. Because he was sick (aka SUPER snuggly), John stayed home with the twins this morning while I went to meeting. By the time I got back, my little princess had a fever too. Poor babies. If the fevers continue tomorrow, it's off to Dr. G we go!

Sweet little Addie - not her active self but still hanging on her chair.

My dear sweet Austin...he curled up into his tent out in living room. He plays in the tent but he NEVER sleeps in it - this is a true sign he is not feeling well!

Hopefully our little Rosies wake up tomorrow feeling brand new!

Random

The other day, Addie woke up a little early from her nap so I got her up and left Austin snoozing. Addie was definitely in rare form! She thought it was funny to crawl all over the chairs and settled on this position to hang out. As I was laughing at her, she started to bite the chairs and growl. I'm not sure where she learned this but of course it made me laugh. The more I chuckled, the more Addie performed! She's quite the little ham!! Anyways, I thought these were too cute not to share!

It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

After some super chilly weather in Dallas a couple of weeks ago, we had a beautiful weekend full of sunshine!! And what does that mean? We head outdoors to play with the twins. John's parents bought the twins this awesome sand/water activity table for Christmas and this was the perfect weather to bring it out.

John read somewhere that oatmeal was a fun thing for younger kids to play with - it has good texture, it's inexpensive and it's edible (for all of those kids that like to sample everything they play with). Good thing that it is indeed edible because that is about all our kids did with it - lots of oatmeal eating. There was a little water splashing and water play mixed in with long bouts of oatmeal eating. I don't think that they really understood to play with it like sand.

We also played on the slide that John's brother gave us last year. The twins are definitely old enough to enjoy it now. Austin can climb up on it by himself and figured out how to slide back down. Addie preferred to leap off of the slide...thank goodness Daddy was there to catch her!!

Hanging at the top of the slide...

Stopping for a chew break...

Ready or not - here I come!

Wheeee!

Love these beautiful Texas days! It's so fun now that our kids are old enough to enjoy the outdoors too!!

1 Year Appointment

Today Austin and Addie took a trip to visit Dr. G. He said that they look great! He was impressed with their amazing walking skills. Of course, Addie glared at him for most of the time since she's in that "stranger danger" phase. I'll be excited when she actually smiles at him again! Austin was nice to him and offered up a lot of drool.

Austin weighed in at 18 pounds, 9 ounces (5th percentile) and he's 28.8 inches tall (25th percentile). His head is 18.3 inches and is in the whopping 70th percentile! Dang that kid has a lot of brains! Dr. G said that he's looking great!

Addie is still a peanut weighing in at 15 pounds, 10 ounces (less than 3rd percentile) and she's 27.3 inches tall (10th percentile). Her head is 17.3 inches (25th percentile). Dr. G is a little concerned about her weight but said that she's gained percentiles in the heighth and brain categories. He knows she's a little runner and that she pretty much burns anything she consumes. Dr. G recommended that we add Pediasure to her diet, just to increase the caloric intake. He said not to be concerned and that we'd check her weight again at 15 months.

Poor A-Team got three shots today and they were NOT happy. Last time I schedule their appointments during naptime!!

Partay!

Austin and Addie celebrated the Big 1 with a Look Whooo's One birthday. I fell in love with the owls and thought they were perfect for a boy/girl party! We had  a great group of close friends and family that gathered with us to celebrate a big milestone for us. This past year has been 90% fun, 5% overwhelming and 5% sleep depriving. We are so blessed to have our friends and family share this fabulous time with us!

A few pics before guests arrived...

The incredibly perfect and adorable guests of honor....And thanks to my mom for creating the awesome shirts!

Working It for the Camera

To celebrate the twins' birthday, we took them to have pictures made. Of course I might be biased, but I had to post these pictures. I'm pretty sure that we have the cutest kids in the world! :)

We did finally have to tell Austin to put his phone away so we could take some pictures.

I love that they look like little adults!

We're 1!

I am in love with this girl!
