Addie's First Haircut

Since Addie was starting to resemble Sam Sheepdog from Looney Tunes, we (well I) decided that she needed a little bang trim!

It's a lot harder than I thought!! Addie didn't really want to hold her head straight so they ended up quite crooked and looking like a bowl cut (and yet there were no bowls used in this endeavor).

So to my sweet Addie, I promise from this day forward I will NEVER EVER use a pair of shears on your hair. I will always leave that to the professionals.

Thank goodness her hair grows fast!!!

Happy Easter!

"Why do you seek the living One among the dead? "He is not here, but He has risen."

After a great service at church, we headed to Jason and Ashley's house for an amazing Easter brunch! It was fun to get together with John's family and let the kids do an Easter egg hunt (Austin and Addie kind of got it this year!).

Before church...

Addie playing with her cousin's car...

An unsuccessful attempt to get all the kids smiling and looking the same direction for a pic (and for some reason we're missing Wyatt!)

John and Jason's handiwork in hiding Easter eggs...

The kids patiently waiting to start the egg madness!

Austin and Addie taking a break to play with their eggs.

A second, still unsuccessful attempt to get the kids to all smile, looking the same direction (at least we've got Wyatt in this one!)

Still playing with their eggs. This was pretty much their position for the rest of the afternoon.

One pooped baby after an afternoon of fun!

Happy Easter and Happy Birthday to Corey!

Easter Weekend!

This weekend my parents were in town to hang out before my Dad started a conference on Monday. It was nice to spend some time with them!

Grandpa reading with the A-Team

Grandma gave Austin and Addie their first taste of Nutella. Pretty sure it was a hit!!

Before date night (what I really wanted to do was just head to bed at 7:00 but it was nice to get out!)

Skyping with Aunt Sommer and Uncle Corey who are across the world!! Austin was fascinated (and I'm not totally postive where his pants went)

Opening up some Easter presents!

Our kids have discovered how much fun crawling under tables and chairs, behind couches and under desks is. Their latest place to hide - under the stroller. Of course someone should have given them the memo that they don't both fit under there really well. What I didn't include was the after picture of Addison screaming because Austin is on top of her. I thought it better to remember them this way. :)

More Fun in Round Rock

We continued our busy weekend with some swimming in the pool and visiting my grandma. Austin and Addie are HUGE water fans and thought it was fun to throw themselves under the water. Good thing John and I were close by to pick them right back up since it's a little deeper than the bathtub!

John and I are so happy that we have kids that love the water and look forward to lots of pool time this summer!!

We went up to the nursing home to visit with my Grandma. Since it was pretty outside, we went out into the courtyard. We tried to get Austin and Addie to sit and smile on the rock - Addie most definitely had other plans!

At least Austin cooperated in a picture!

Grandma Mary and grandkids!

For dinner that night, we headed to Megan and Michael's house. Austin and Addie LOVED playing with Parker! He's about 5 months older so he was showing them the ropes.

Everyone had fun playing under one of the side tables. Of course there are a million toys there but this was much more fun! :)

Although it was a whirl-wind and packed weekend, we had a blast. Definitely looking forward to catching up on some sleep!!

Happy Birthday Lilly Grace!

This past weekend we headed to Round Rock to celebrate Lilly Grace's 1st birthday!! Addie was very excited to hang out with her BFF and Austin was in just in awe of how cute his future wife is! It was a lot of fun to see girls that I grew up with and spend time with all of our kids together. I've known JaNae, Megan and Leah for 30 years - pretty cool and makes me feel a little old too!

It was a little windy outside - as evidenced by the hair in the face. But fun getting a pic with us and all of our kiddos!

Austin spending some quality time with Lilly.

Parker and Austin discussing who REALLY gets to marry Lilly when they grow up! Or maybe they are discussing less important matters like what flavor of juice box to try next.

Daddy and Austin in matching outfits. Cheesy yes but definitely cute!!

Addie and me taking a break from playing outside.

JaNae, Me and our babies!

Addie playing with her juice box

Playing in the car. With the amount of time they spent in this thing, I think it's a subtle hint that they want one.

Playing on the tire swing with Daddy

Addie hanging in the swing after a long afternoon of playing!

Happy 1st Birthday to sweet Lilly Grace. We have loved watching you grow this past year!!
