4 years ago today, I married my best friend. I am so blessed to call John my husband and partner in life. Things have changed a lot since we first started dating 7 years ago. We gave up the uptown lifestyle to move out to the burbs (which we said we'd never do) and have fallen in love with life as parents. We're taking on the challenge of 4 kids in 4 years. I can't imagine anyone else that I'd rather do that with!

Instead of a nice dinner out like we'd originally planned, Austin came home from daycare sick. So we cancelled our plans and spent our anniversary at home. One of the perks of Austin being sick is that he is so ridiculously snuggly. So John got a lot of cuddle time.

Luckily I had Nurse Addie around to help me out. I didn't have the heart to tell her that in between the toes is not the best place to try to get an accurate temp.

I think Addie enjoyed our anniversary dinner of spaghetti!

After the kids went to sleep, John and I did get to hang out a little and drink the finest cream soda out of our wedding champagne glasses. These flutes are special because John's grandmother gave us money and gave us the challenge of picking out a wedding present that we could pass down. So that pretty much ruled out a lot of the things that we first thought of (like a dinner out, nice bottle of champagne, kitchen appliances, etc). So we chose these Waterford crystal champagne flutes in the Wedding Heirloom pattern. We only use them on our anniversary and always think of John's Grandmother.

Happy anniversary John. I am so thankful that God made you for me!

Quick Weston and Grayson Update

We had another sonogram today and of course neither boy wanted to participate in the attempt to get 3D pics. They are both facing my back and smashed on top of each other. Oh well - we've only got 4 more weeks until we see them live and in person!!! They are still growing really well and have plenty of fluid and blood flow. Grayson is weighing in around 4 lbs 7 oz and Weston is 4 lbs 4 oz. I'm guessing by their birthday, they'll be around the 6 pound mark each! Valerie (our fabulous and wonderful sonographer) wasn't able to get any good pics for me to include with this blog. So here's what you get:

As far as our last appointment with Dr. Mathews, he said that everything with me is still looking good. My blood pressure is low and no dialation. I am measuring 39 weeks so yes, there is a great reason that I'm waddling! :) He's still not officially putting us on his schedule yet but I'll keep asking at each appointment.

Watch Out World!

The Rosie twins are on the move! Recently we bought a tricycle that has so far provided LOTS of fun and several new scrapes!

At first, Austin wasn't too sure which way to sit on it. Daddy had to help him figure it out.

Now he gets it!

Addie trying out the tricycle...

Addie's legs are still a little too short to reach the pedals so her big bro helped her out!

Addie decided that it would be nice to return the favor.

I think the best way for them to ride is together. This is what brought the most smiles (and probably the most scraped elbows and knees when they tipped over)!

Here's to many trips around the block on the trusty Radio Flyer trike!

Grayson and Weston's Latest Sonogram

Grayson and Weston are still growing like little weeds and are pure perfection! The sonographer said that she loves when we come in because our kids are the prettiest to photograph. She probably says that to everyone but I'll just pretend that she reserves that line exclusively for us. Grayson is weighing in at 3 lbs 15 oz and Weston is 3 lbs 10 oz. They are both head to head and feet to feet and currently training to be kickboxers. It was funny to watch them on the machine as they kicked and punched each other. Of course, since they are so close together, it made it hard to get a really good 3D pic. Maybe next time!! I also did a fetal non-stress test today. The boys passed with flying colors. Well actually, Grayson got bored in the middle of it and moved off into a secret location so the nurse couldn't find his heartbeat anymore. But we'll still say he passed. John and I go back in 2 weeks to check them out again!

Grayson's face - it's kind of blurry because his umbilical cord is in front of his face...

Grayson's hand...

Weston's kind-of profile with his arm up next to his face. He made sure to keep his face hidden so we couldn't get any good shots of him. I guess Weston is going to be famous some day and he's just practicing for the paparazzi.

Labor Day

Labor Day couldn't have been more perfect. After a busy weekend with my parents here, we took the day to just relax. The weather is FINALLY under hotter than Hades readings so we spent most of the day outside.

Austin and Addie demolished  big pieces of watermelon while Daddy grilled. Good thing it was bath night!

They also played in their makeshift pool. Anytime these kids can splash around in water, they take the opportunity!

Smiling after playing in the dirt...

Getting ready to spray someone!

All in all it was a great weekend. The weather was perfect, college football started again and my Aggies walked away with their first win of the season! Happy Labor Day!

It has returned!!! College Football!!! And it's so fitting that A&M's first game is against SMU.

Obviously I'm cheering for my Aggies but Addie sure looks cute in her SMU dress!
