London 2012!

USA! USA! Yes we are those people that get super excited about the Olympics. This is the first summer Olympics for the kids and I'm sure they are pretty excited too.

Hamming it up....

Addie's piggies are painted for Team USA!

My little loves in their Olympic gear!

All of my loves!

Weston and Grayson are loving the events so far!

9 Month Checkup

Today was the boys' 9 month checkup. Dr. G said that they both look great! He was impressed with Gray's crawling/cruising skills and liked how much Weston talks.

Grayson weighed in at 18 lbs 8 oz (25th percentile) and is 27.8 inches long (50th percentile). His head is 18 inches around (75th percentile).

Weston is 18 lbs 11 oz (25th percentile) and is 28 inches long (50th percentile). His head is 17.8 inches around (75th percentile).

It amazes me that they have stayed so close together in their stats. To me Weston seems so much bigger but I guess not!

Next time back will be their 1 year appointment. Yep - I was that mom that cried when scheduling their 1 year appointment. I'm just not ready for them to be that old!

Waiting for Dr. G...

Weston chilling on the floor (don't judge - we realize the floor may not have been the cleanest place to play)

Grayson hanging out!

I hate when Austin and Addie are sick. However, it makes for some super cute pictures like this one! They may fight like cats and dogs some days but when they don't feel good, they are a-ok snuggling up together to watch Kung Fu Panda or Cars.

Splash Park!

A perfect outing for this Texas heat is a splash park! It's fun for us because we don't have to be as "on" watching the kids like we do at a pool. And Austin and Addie run out their energy running from sprayer to sprayer, screaming at the top of their lungs. Weston and Grayson are still newbies to the splash park and were trying to figure it out.

We met a really nice family there that had kids close to our kids' ages. I love watching Austin and Addie make friends. Austin is definitely the more outgoing of the two but Addie warms up after a while. Turns out that the dad of the family is also a photographer and offered to take pics for us. Thanks Chad for capturing a very rare photo of the 6 of us!

Here are some of my iPhone pics:

We're 9 Months Old!

My boys just keep growing up! They are now 9 months old and continue to bless our family with their smiles and laughs. They have developed these little personalities that couldn't be more night and day from each other. Grayson is our curious explorer. He wants to be anywhere and everywhere that he's not supposed to be. Weston is definitely more chill. He likes to sit back and take in the world around him.

Grayson and Weston eat 4 bottles a day and 2 meals. They have tried a lot of different fruits and veggies, pasta and meat. They have also tried some mom unapproved (but toddler approved!) foods like Goldfish and potato chips. Although I LOVE that they share, we're still working with the A-Team on what the boys can and can't eat.

Weston and Grayson sleep from about 7:15 - 7:00ish each night. They take 2 great naps a day and sometimes take a little catnap around 5 which is perfect for me to get dinner started. They wear 9-12 month stuff - big boys! Most of their 9 month onesies are getting a little snug to snap. I'm pretty sure that they will catch up to Addison soon!

Lately, it seems like the boys only want to play with whatever the other one is playing with. As long as it doesn't end in tears, it's pretty cute. They are more aware of each other and interact a little more. Mostly that involves Grayson crawling on Weston or Weston laughing at Grayson.

Grayson - the devilish little smile in the picture above captures your personality perfectly. You are a lightening fast crawler, a rockstar cruiser and most recently, a climber. You like to get into everything you shouldn't which keeps us on our toes. I think you desperately want to run around with your big brother and sister - soon my little man!

You have 6 teeth still but are working on number 7. This round of teething has been pretty rough on you and has given me a lot of snuggle time. I hate that I can't just snap my fingers and have those teeth already be in!

You like to babble and seem pretty focused on da-da. Every once in a while you throw in a ma-ma to keep me happy. You like to yell and scream to, just to see how loud you can be. I love your look of pure joy when you are super loud! Grayson, we love your spirit and the joy you bring to our family!

Weston, you radiate happiness. I'm not saying that you don't have your times of tears but for the most part, you have a smile on your face! Just within the past week or so, you've started army crawling. Rolling is still your quickest method of getting around but we're working on that crawl.

This is the face that I see every morning and I love it! You also have 6 teeth and I'm not sure if there are more coming in yet. You are drooling up a storm so I hope so!

You are a huge babbler and say ma-ma, da-da and ba-ba. And then you say a lot that I have no clue what you are even trying to say. You are the chatty one! Weston, you have captured my heart with that sweet smile and I'm blessed to see it so often!

Grayson and Weston, you add so much love and fun to our family. It's so fun to watch you explore and learn new things every day. We love you!

Potty Training (and Big Beds Too!)

7/7 - Some claim it's a lucky day. It just so happened to work out that it was day 1 of the 2012 Potty Training Extravaganza. The A-Team has become more excited and interested in potty training so we made the switch to undies! Although they each had an accident on Saturday, they had a very successful trip to church. I'll go ahead and make a mark in the W column.

Austin sporting his undies...

Addie was a little embarassed so I just caught her booty.

Not only did we make the switch to undies, we decided to upgrade from their toddler beds to twin beds. I'm not going to lie - I was a lot more emotional taking the cribs apart than I thought I would be! I worked hard when I was 6 months pregnant to put them together. It's amazing how much things have changed since then.

Addie posing by her toddler bed...Austin "helping" take it apart.

Austin hanging out before we took his apart...

Austin's new bed!

Addie's new bed!

We still have to get new bedding and headboards but Austin and Addie are very excited for their big kid beds! I'm still wrestling with the fact that they really are growing up!!

Yay for Eggs!

I've gotten a little behind in posting new foods the boys have tried. Oops. But here are some pics of the boys eating egg yolks. They loved them! Cheerios have also become a fan fave.

Dress Up!

My brother and sister-in-law passed along these awesome outfits. Austin loved his and wanted to pose so he could see his picture on the camera. Addie wasn't so excited to pose but oh well. And I'm not sure why Austin is roaring in every pic but whatever! I'll take what I can get!

Happy Birthday America!

Our July 4th was laid back, relaxed and full of lots of outside time - a perfect  day for us!

Gray is excited!

Weston is in chill-mode.

This girl looks like she's ready to get into trouble!

Austin having a blast - and clearly in need of some sunglasses.

After lunch and a nap, we headed back out to the pool. This time with festive hats for the boys.

Of course they have to have the same toy!

Of course I wanted a pic of all of the kids in their American gear. They weren't so cooperative but these pictures are so representative of our lives!

Addie insisted that Gray sent in her lap.

Our princess and the boys...

Happy July 4th!
