Happy Halloween

Disney/Pixar has been looking around for some new characters for the best cartoon they have ever produced. And they have finally found their subjects. I introduce to you....the Super Rosies!!!

They are faster than snails, more powerful than Daddy when he's sleeping and able to leap small curbs in a single bound! They are fueled by hugs and kisses and their main priority is finding candy!

Super Austin is trying to convince Super Weston that masks are cool. Super Addie has abandoned the mask and gone hunting for food.

Backed to being masked and ready to conquer Grayhawk!

Super Grayson and Super Weston decided to go undercover as normal babies. But they kept their capes and masks close in case danger is near!

The Super Rosies let Aidan the Dragon come along on their adventures.

Super Austin and Super Addison approaching a spooky house in search of candy.

Through the tunnel to find more candy!!

Running to the next house...

These two are being brought down by their only known weakness: staying up past bedtime.

This house looks scary. We should check it out to see if they have candy!

Disney - have your people call my people and we'll get this movie deal knocked out!

Even Bigger News!

The Rosies are finally making a big change for a new chapter of our story. I am trading in my title of Working at Home Mom to Stay at Home Mom. It's really scary to not bring in an income - I've worked pretty much since I was 16!! But after a lot of praying, figuring out finances and then some more praying, we've decided that the best thing for our family is for me to have all of our kids home!

I am excited. So excited to have a lot of quality time with our clan. I am nervous. Nervous that four kids are  going to overwhelm me and land me in the looney bin. I am blessed. God has provided for our family and made it an option for me to even quit my job.

So here we go! I can't wait to start this new adventure!

1 Year Check Up

We took the boys in for their 1 year appointments today and as usual, Dr. G gave them A+'s and said they look perfect! He really liked how well Grayson is walking and how much Weston likes to point at things.

Grayson weighed in at 21 lbs 13 oz (58th percentile), is 29.8 inches tall (46th percentile) and his head is 18.5 inches (75th percentile).

Weston weighed in at 20 lbs 7 oz (35th percentile), is 29.5 inches tall (34th percentile) and his head is 18.3 inches (61st percentile).

It amazes me how much bigger they are at this age than the A-Team. Dr. G said for us to keep up the great work!

Happy 1st Birthday!!

Happy 1st Birthday Grayson and Weston! To say that this year has been crazy, fun, overwhelming and exhausting is an understatement. You came into this world a year ago and our lives have never been the same.

To celebrate we started off with some birthday muffins. I also tried to get some pics of my little 1 year olds. Trying to get them in the same picture was impossible!

We also opened our birthday presents. Thank goodness they had some help from Austin and Addie!

Weston and Grayson - I've said it before and I'll say it again. You have brought this family such an amazing amount of joy! Other than some teething and the occasional colds, y'all are really happy kids.

You play with each other more and more and like to make the other one laugh. You share your toys about 50% of the time - the other 50% is spent stealing toys. We'll work on sharing this next year.

Y'all eat anything and everything. There aren't too many things you have refused. At the rate you are going, you'll catch Addie in no time!

You both still take 2 naps a day. Some days they are really long - some days not so much. It's definitely getting difficult to work when you are awake. Grayson - you have learned how to crawl up on the couch and attack my laptop!

Grayson - your devilish little smile makes me laugh. I love that you'll start to do something, look over at me to see what my reaction is and then continue doing it anyways! It's cute now - probably won't be when you are older. You are walking, running and climbing all over the place!

You love to say daddy over and over but have recently revived mama. That makes my heart happy. You have a lot to say and say it loudly. You are smiley and not a shy kid at all. Unless you are flirting with the ladies - then you turn on your charm and play shy.

You still have just 8 teeth - although it's really 7.5. That last tooth is just taking it's sweet time coming in!

Grayson - I love the light in your eyes, the sweet smiles you give and the fact that you are becoming snuggly again. I love everything about you little man!

Weston - you are still my sweet, observant kid. Your recent obsession is driving cars all over the floor. And you make this cute little vroom sound too. You are precious! You are cruising and crawling everywhere - no walking yet! You'll stand for a second before you decide sitting is more fun.

Weston - you are pretty chatty and talk a lot. You point at things around you and think it's funny if I point back at you. You are pretty quick to laugh and give us those break-your-face-because-they-are-so-big smiles. You're still hanging out at the 8 tooth count as well although the all the drooling, a molar might be making it's way in.

Weston - you have always been my sweet, gentle soul. I think the boyness in you is going to start taking over. You've discovered how much fun is to bang things against the walls, the window, your brother's head.

I love you so much my little Weston. I'm excited to watch you grow and continue to develop. And even if you become a crazy, crazy little man like your brothers, you'll always be my sweet little boy.

Grayson and Weston, this past year has been filled with some downs and many, many ups! We couldn't love you anymore than we do and are so proud to be your parents. We cannot wait to see what plans God has laid out for you. We love you!!!

It's a Party!

“Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”  - Dr. Seuss

For the boys' party, we decided to go with Thing 1 and Thing 2. I think it turned out perfectly! The boys enjoyed cake, surrounded by our fabulous friends and family.

I can't believe that they were ever this small!

Yummy cupcakes!

Smash Cake #1

Smash Cake #2

Austin and Addie waiting patiently to eat cake!

The birthday boys helping Daddy with pizza

This cake doesn't stand a chance!

Sugar high!

I'm not sure what we were thinking on the red frosting....

Today was really happy day, sprinkled with some tears too. I'm so excited to celebrate this first year with the boys - we made it! And sad because I am not sure where this first year has gone - it went by way too quickly. We love our Things!! Happy birthday Grayson and Weston!

Big News

Big news – I’m diving headfirst into a new business venture. A little nervous? Yes! Slightly overwhelmed and a little scared I’m off my rocker? Absolutely!   I’ve been praying for something to come along that will add additional income to cover the cost of four children. I feel like God has opened a door for my family.

I am starting a new business with Rodan and Fields!  Who? What?  Let me explain.

After this last pregnancy, I found that my skin was dull and not so young looking anymore. I have several friends that have used the Rodan and Fields Reverse line to return to that pre-pregnancy glow. I love that it is created by dermatologists but that I don’t actually have to go see a dermatologist. Because honestly, with four kids, I don’t have that kind of time!

I’ve always been a little skeptical of direct marketing companies. I’ve thought about doing things like this before but never liked the time commitment with parties or having to stock inventory. With Rodan and Fields, I can work completely on my own schedule and I don’t have to host parties.

Here are some things that really stand out about this company:

Dr. Rodan and Dr. Fields are two of the most highly recognized doctors in the business. They are the women that created this little product called Proactiv (sound familiar?)

The product lines are focused on treating common skincare concerns – wrinkles/aging, dullness/sun damage, redness/irritated skin and acne. It’s what they call bringing the dermatology office into the home.

Rodan and Fields made the decision to exit retail (like Nordstrom and Saks) and enter direct sales. Since then, they have seen overwhelming results!

I’m so excited to start this business and to see where it grows!

Pumpkin Patch!

We loaded the fam and headed to Celina to the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm! This place has a petting zoo, hayrides and pumpkins of course!

Weston and Grayson...

This is about as good as we could get for 4 kids. Addie was so not interested in pictures. Austin was dying to feed the cows. And the boys - they just wanted to eat rocks.

The fam

Austin and Addie feeding the sheep

Addie feeding the sheep and Austin feeding himself (gross)

Love this building but the A-Team clearly had better things to do!

I heart her.

This goat got some smiles! If it was allowed, I think Addie would have taken this goat home.

Addie likes to have things neat and organized (I just don't know where she gets it!). She made this orderly mama proud by lining up all of the pumpkins!

Weston hanging with his pumpkins

Lunch break! We learned the boys love hotdogs.

Another attempt to get the 4 of them

And another...

And another...I give up

Grayson licking the fence - of course!

I'm not totally sure how this happened by Gray fell in some pumpkin guts.

Austin wasn't quite ready to go so he got in some last minute pumpkin sprints!
