Play Date

For our MOPS play date, we went to an Indoor Safari Park in Plano. Austin and Addie were so excited!!

They loved the train ride...

After the train, they hopped into this car. Addie was trying to figure out how to hotwire it.

Austin being eaten by a snake!

This place had these mechanical animals that went in a circle. The A-Team had a blast!!

It's so fun to be able to get together with these other moms and spend time with them while our kids play! I'm so blessed to be in a position where I can be part of MOPS!

3 Year Check Up

How different this appointment was versus the other well checks. Instead of chasing the kids around the waiting room, they sweetly sat and read books. Maybe because there was the promise of ice cream if they were good at the appointment.

This appointment was also different because they started measuring blood pressure with the cutest little cuff I've ever seen. Dr. G asked who was first and Addie was quick to say "Austin first."

Austin weighed in at 29 lbs, 8 oz (32th percentile) and is 36.5 inches tall (26th percentile). His BP is 109/69 and his pulse is 116. Dr. G gave Austin an A+ and noticed he is quite the busy boy!

Addie weighed in at 25 lbs, 2 oz (still not on the growth chart but gained 4 lbs since last year!) and is 35.3 inches tall (14th percentile). Dr. G said that Addie is awesome and also very active.

Dr. G went through some tests with them, including one where he asked them to jump. Not only did Addie jump, she twirled, spun and face planted. She popped back up with a "ta da." Never a dull moment with that girl. He also went through shapes and colors. Our kids may not be 100% on colors but they can tell you the Yo Gabba Gabba character associated with it. That skill should take them far in life.

This appointment was great - no shots and followed up with stickers and lollipops! We'll head back in a year!

Pump It Up!

Today we celebrated Austin and Addie's birthday with a party at Pump It Up. I love this place - blow up slides and obstacle courses and bounce houses. It equals fun for the kids and a guaranteed loooooong nap.
Our little monsters...

All of the kids that helped us celebrate!

The amazing cakes...
Addison and her friend Eden...

So excited to blow out their candles! And sing Happy Birthday to themselves.

Gray taking a turn in the throne...

John playing in the cyclone tunnel. Apparently it's supposed to be fun to stand in there and be blasted by crazy wind. No thanks. I'll save my $2. :)

The monster gift bags!

Thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate our little monsters!

Happy Valentine's Day

I tried. I tried my hardest to get all 4 kids into a Valentine's pic. However, it was just not happening! At least I got each set together. I'll take what I can get!
Happy Valentine's from the A-Team!

And Happy Valentine's Day from these two dashing little men.

Weston and Grayson were also invited to a Valentine's Day playdate. So much fun! There were probably 15 kids under the age of 19 months. The boys did really well and I like seeing them interact with other kids their age.

Class Party

I was able to take cookies up to Austin and Addie's school for their birthday. So fun to sit in on their little celebration!
Waiting patiently with Max for cookies.

Too busy shoveling cookies to even look up for a pic. Oh well!

Happy birthday!

We're 3 Years Old!

What?!? I have 3 year olds???? Every day I learn something new about them. Austin and Addie are little kids - no longer my toddlers! They can carry on conversations, sometimes even intelligent ones. They are either the best of friends or pushing each other's buttons. They are constantly looking for ways to get into trouble - usually Addie masterminding it and Austin being the brute strength. And through it all, I find more and more ways to love them (while simultaneously growing more gray hairs).

We started the morning with birthday muffins and the news (complete with Christmas jammies). Austin and Addie are definitely part of the picky eaters bunch although muffins are always a guarantee.

Potty training is still going well. We haven't taken away the pull ups at night but hopefully that will be coming soon. Addie loves public restrooms and makes sure to use one at any establishment we are at. Austin is a little more discerning on where he'll pee. Unless we're outside - then he'll pee anywhere.

These two love each other - as captured by the picture below. I'm going to show this to them next time an argument breaks out.

A new thing with them is dancing together - LOVE it. Addie likes to twirl and Austin is happy to oblige!

My 3 year old loves.

Once again - they love each other...

And another thing with the A-Team - monkey see monkey do!

Austin - you are my crazy, crazy boy! You have energy that seems never ending. You are loud and don't really believe in an inside voice. You like to play with cars, build up blocks just to knock them down and like jumping off the couch. You like to race with me and beat me quite a bit. You are pretty smart and pick things up quickly. As wild and crazy as you are, if it's bedtime, you are usually the first one in bed with your doggie. Lately you make your way to our room in the middle of the night to sleep with us. Usually this means that I end up about an inch of space to sleep in. And no matter how many times I roll away from you, you have to be laying on top of me. Not going to lie, some nights it's a little annoying. But as your daddy reminded me, you won't always want to snuggle with me. So I'll take it!

Addison - you are my sweet, sassy, opinionated little princess. Which some days, you remind me that your name is Princess, not Addie. You like to play with your dolls, baby your brothers and leap from couches with Austin. You are loud and crazy one minute, then can be chill. You like having your toenails painted and your hair braided - so blessed that God gave me a girl to do this with! Even though you might be a little stubborn sometimes, you have a sweet and giving heart.

Austin and Addison - we love you so much. Our lives were forever changed three years ago. I know everyone says it but time truly does pass by too quickly. We are so proud of the little people you are becoming and we're so grateful that God gave us the two of you! Happy birthday!

R+F Convention!

It's official - I am in love with my business! I was so so excited to spend three days at Convention and learn all about our new, amazing product!

It was fun to get to meet a lot of the people I've chatted with over Facebook as well as other consultants who aren't part of my immediate "family."

Rachel and I during one of the sessions (sporting our R+F cowboy hats!)

Melanie, Rachel and I at dinner...

Oh you know - just hanging with my pal Amnon Rodan - chairman of R+F

Doctors Rodan and Fields...

And here it is - the new Macro Exfoliator!!! I waited in line for 2 hours to actually buy this thing - only because I wanted the immediate gratification of getting to use it! And it was 100% worth it - love this new tool!

At the gala - so much fun to get dressed up and fancy for a night!

This weekend was just a reconfirmation that John and I made the right decision in joining this company. It is led by such an amazing group of people and I'm so proud to be part of it!

First Day of Preschool!

The day has finally come! It is such a blessing that the Sonshine School at church had 2 openings in the spring for Austin and Addie. I'm excited for them to be in a structured program and for me to be able to spend some 2 on 1 time with Weston and Grayson.

Carrying their big backpacks!

Ready to rock it!

Austin and Addie had a great first day. They had no problems joining in with their classmates! Can't wait to see what they learn!
