It was so nice to be lazy this morning and not have to rush out the door for church (well - as lazy as you can be with 4 kids). This Easter we hung out as a family before heading over to Jason and Ashley's to do dinner and an Easter egg hunt.

(Before I proceed - no judgement that everyone is wearing the same outfits as yesterday)

One of our many attempts to get a kid pic - Addie's having fun swinging her hair around.

Sadly this one might be the best I was able to get.

Everyone is ready to go for the big hunt!

Weston really believed in quality vs. quantity. He also didn't realize that he could take more than one. He kept picking up and egg and setting down the one that was already in his hand. Maybe next year he'll get it!

It was a perfect day - the weather was gorgeous and the company was fun. Loved that we could spend the day with family celebrating our Risen Savior!

Easter Eve

Tonight we did something we've never done - Saturday night service! It was actually a lot of fun and a lot more packed than we thought. It made for a lazy Sunday morning, something we don't typically get!

A friend was nice enough to snap this pic for us.

Today was a really tough day. It's the day that we had to say goodbye to Jackson. Over the past couple of years, his health has declined and recently it's been hard for him to get up on his own. So we had to make the toughest decision ever - to say goodbye to him.
Jackson was a great dog. I got him my sophomore year of college and he stuck with me through all of my college failures and triumps. He made the move with me to Lubbock (and was pretty much my only form of entertainment) and was there to make a first assessment of John. Jackson was there to snap at Stellar to make sure he knew who the boss was once John and I got married.
I love Jackson and glad I had him for almost 14 years. I hope he's running around in fields in heaven and will be waiting for me someday!

My Little Bakers

I love having the kids at home. I try (and fail often) to come up with fun things for them to do. We decided to make cookies today. I was so proud of Austin and Addie - they willingly took turns stirring the cookies. And for anyone that has preschoolers - you know this is an amazing feat.

Waiting patiently while our cookies baked...

And after waiting 10 minutes for cookie perfection, they are finally ready.

Love my little bakers!!

Yo Gabba Gabba! Finally!!

The day is here!! We finally reached the end of our Yo Gabba Gabba chain. Austin and Addie couldn't have been more excited!

Before we leave to get the sillies out!

Waiting in line to go in...

They did a great job with activities beforehand. Austin loved playing the drums...

At each station, the kids could get stamps. It's like they know that preschoolers have a weird obsession with stamps!

Waiting patiently!

Even Daddy is waiting patiently. (Side note - I love love love a man that will wear Yo Gabba Gabba gear for his kids)

Almost time!

Just like TV - DJ Lance is here with his radio!

When DJ Lance walked on stage, Austin's jaw dropped. It stayed dropped until intermission. I don't think he could wrap his head around the YGG characters being 10 feet in front of him!

The YGG crew!

We invited our friends to come sit with us - we weren't using half of our seats because the kids (and mama) were too busy dancing!

It's time for Biz's Beat of the Day!

I was so sad when they said it was time to go. Our kids were having so much fun! And I'm not going to lie - John and I were too. It was such a great show!

We had VIP Party Packs which meant we got to go meet the characters and take pics with them. We got to everyone but Toodee - she took off a little early.

The A-Team couldn't take their eyes off of Foofa for a picture. Addie was SO excited to meet her in person.

Addie didn't hesitate to hop into Muno's lap!

Addie and I jumped in for a pic with Biz Markie!

I think Plex was definitely Austin's fave.

Heather and I had to jump in and take a pic too!

Austin had so much fun with Austin Norris. And sweet AN - he's so great with our Austin!

John hanging with Austin and Declan!

Austin is also great with Addie. I'm totally ok if they date in the future.

We went to dinner afterwards with the Norrises and had a blast with them. The kids were pooped by the end of the day but had so much fun meeting all of their favorite characters!
